X-9 was formed sometime February 2009 by the merry duo of Francis Cycocis and Raymond Gorgod who both share dreams of flying through Saturn's rings in their favorite Valkyries and igniting glowing colored sabers while dressed in flowing black robes.
Members:
Allan Esperida (Decay Transit / Filter-Filter) did live guitars for X-9 at Scarlet Tears' 5th year anniversary celebration on the 31st of October 2009. On January 16, 2010 X-9 performed for the first time with new members Obed Magdaraog (Decay Transit) and Sam Vigilia (Scarlet Tears).
Description:
X-9's music may be described as a blend of Aggrotech, EBM, Martial Industrial and Futurepop whose songs and lyrics are derived from its members' shared paranoia of a dystopian or post apocalyptic future, personal beliefs and experiences or even inspired by an episode from their favorite series, stories both passive and interactive or even from the simple joy of teasing and ribbing each other about Kalembangs and Tungs!
All original songs composed and arranged by the members of X-9. Also assisted by Allan Esperida on sound production and effects.
Band Name:
The name X-9 was taken from the fictitious unmanned Ghost X-9 prototype found in the Mecha OVA series / Movie Macross Plus.

Based on the Macross Plus character Isamu Dyson's hand gesture that represents a valkyrie (term for fighters in Macross) or flight.
