About the band/artist

Pinklash was founded by high school friends Geof, Troy and Darren in December 2004 of their senior year. They later pulled Keith and Billy into the group, both of whom were from their batch as well. The fivesome hit it off and began a string of performances at different gigs and events.

Initially their musical range was somewhere between pop punk, emo and post hardcore, but after some time they decided that they wanted to take their music in direction that would catch the attention of their audiences - as well as one more suited to their personalities. Thus, in their sophomore year of college they shifted to primarily pop punk and power pop. The band has cited such influences as Farewell and Forever the Sickest Kids.

Subsequently, the boys of Pinklash made the acquaintance of Kashmir (affectionately nicknamed En), then drummer of another band whose disbanding was immediately followed by an invitation to take up the position of keyboardist for Pinklash. En accepted without hesitation, becoming the first girl in the all-male group.

At present the band is active and very much alive, busy with studies but making time for each other and their music nonetheless.
