About the band/artist

Protocosmic was founded in Santiago, Chile in 2006 in order to bring some material written by keyboardist Juan Eduardo R. into a live band format. The first to join was Rodrigo A. who played with Juan Eduardo in the progressive rock band Dwalin during the nineties.
After that, there was a long parade of female vocalists who just didn't function well with the band until Juan Eduardo and Rodrigo met young performer Andie Casagrande whose voice and ideas became a major contribution to the musical concept behind the band. After join Protocosmic she was vocalist and composer in 2 bands (trip hop - rock style).
Last to join was bassist Mauricio Q-P, with great experience in heavy rock bands such as The Shrink and Kraal. Protocosmic's first album "Combing the Doll" is to be released August 2008.
