About the band/artist

Driven by their passion in music, they formed the band Sleepless Anchovies to play their own compositions inspired by their experiences in life. Their music is a mixture of blues, reggae, ska, soul and rock.




Sleepless Anchovies is composed by 4 of the original members of Uptown Raskals (Baguio based ska band). Manuel Conrad Rillo and Joseph Cruz once left the band Uptown Raskals to pursue their personal life while the other two- James Dean Seguritan and Martin Paul Amansec stayed in the local music scene and continued to play all around the town and in other places in northern luzon. In time, the 4 crossed each others path again and now they want to continue what they started in 2004 so they formed the band Sleepless Anchovies. At first they don't know what they'll call their band because for them making their own music is their priority but after days of deliberation the word "Anchovies" became the best pick, courtesy of the drummer "dugs". They all agreed because it sounds catchy and the word "Sleepless" was added because every time that the band has a rehearsal the 3 other members were all sleepless because of their work at that time (Call Center Agent/Mechanical Engineer/Online Mail Responder)
